Religious Leaders & Followers To Stand Up for Criminal Justice Reform

Faithful Tuesday event to elevate human dignity and common sense criminal justice bills.

DENVER – Featuring elected public safety officials Attorney General Phil Weiser and Denver District attorney Beth McCann, this week’s Interfaith Alliance Colorado-sponsored Faithful Tuesday event will focus on criminal justice reform TOMORROW. To be attended by 30+ leaders and followers of a wide variety of religions, including Christian, Jewish and Islam, these people of faith will pray, sing and lift their voices to call for respect for human dignity and common sense to prevail in passing criminal justice legislation this session, including Ban the Box, Clean Slate and juvenile justice reform.

The Interfaith Alliance of Colorado promotes justice, religious liberty and interfaith understanding through building relationships in order to educate, advocate and catalyze social change.  

Faithful Tuesdays is a series of multi-faith events during the 2019 legislative session to uplift their common faith to build human dignity by supporting a just economy, promoting equity and eradicating racism in Colorado, convened by City Unite, Colorado Catholic Conference, Colorado Council of Churches, Colorado Sikhs, Greater Metro Denver Ministerial Alliance, Interfaith Alliance of Colorado, Mile High Ministries, Rocky Mountain Synod/Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Episcopal Church in Colorado and Together Colorado.
