DENVER, CO – Faith leaders, organizations and community leaders from Colorado will launch a new initiative called Faithful Tuesdays at the State Capitol on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 to advance dialogue on issues of moral economy, equity and the eradication of racism.
Faithful Tuesdays is a diverse coalition of leaders, organizations and community members who are committed to adding a deeper, moral dimension to the public policymaking process in Colorado. We will hold multi-faith events, every Tuesday, at the capital throughout the 2019 legislative session of the Colorado General Assembly. Our work will forward a unifying narrative uplifting our common faith call to build human dignity in our state.
WHAT: Faithful Tuesdays Kickoff
WHO: Our kickoff event will feature remarks from Rabbi Joe Black, Temple Emanuel, Bishop Jerry Demmer, Greater Metro Denver Ministerial Alliance, and Bishop Jorge Rodriguez, Archdiocese of Denver.
WHEN: Tuesday, February 5, 2019, 12pm – 1pm
WHERE: Colorado State Capitol, 1st Floor South Foyer (near the Governor’s Office).
